Oral cancer is on the increase. The two main causes are smoking and alcohol. There are rarer causes also. If Mr Flanagan suspects a lesion, he uses the VELSCOPE, a special camera to view the area and then refers the patient to Oral Surgery at Dundonald for follow-up and tests. www.velscope.com
